Ariana Grande and her crew have inked themselves with the symbol of the Manchester bee in tribute to the city where just two weeks ago a suicide bomber killed 22 people at the end of the Manchester leg of her Dangerous Woman tour.

Infamous in the city, Manchester Ink attended the One love Manchester benefit concert to give the twenty-three year old and members of her crew the tattoo. Thus creating a permanent tribute to the victims, the injured and their families.

The bee is a symbol of Manchester’s industrial past and in the wake of the attack many people from the city have had the tattoo done to show a sense of solidalitry with the victims.

In a further fundraising bid for the One Love fund the tattoo parlour have donated the £50 fee for the inking to victims of the attack and their families.

This all follows the One Love Manchester concert which notched up the highest TV viewing figures of the year so far with a peak of 14.5 viewers on Sunday night. Viewers watched impassioned performances from the likes of Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Miley Cryus, Little Mix and a surpise duet between Liam Gallagher and Coldplay.

The concert also featured many tearful performances from Ariana herself, who had to be comforted by her boyfriend on stage during the benefit. Speaking to the crowd the singer shared messages from one victim’s mother and decided to change the set list last minute because: “Olivia would have wanted to hear the hits.”

As the concert closed with all the stars lined up behind Ariana herself to perform the hit song, One Last Time, the benefit had raised £2.7 million for the fund.
