Hair How to: Get baby hair FKA Twigs’ Kiss Curls

Not content with actor boyfriend hot Brit Award nomination and being tipped as one of the coolest women on the planet at this time, it seems that our favorite Brit export is affecting the world of beauty too.

You can be forgiven for thinking that FKA Twigs’ style choices were a bit ‘out there’ at best, but it turns out that it was via ahead of the game, especially hair in the race. His signature slicked ‘kiss’ curl look is one that has not only been spotted this week on runway models in Givenchy, but was also supported by Katy Perry who was seen sporting the Gothic style senorita at Paris Fashion Week.

We talked Editorial Ambassador and hair stylist L’Oréal Professionel extraordinaire, Adam Reed to find out how we managed to get the look of us, and it turns out that the style baby-intricate hair is easier to achieve than we had thought.

“I really like this because it feels so current. To do this, start by tying her hair back into a low pony, leaving a few strands around the hairline,” says Reed. “Next, apply a gel, such as L’Oréal Professionel TecniART extreme Splash Gelle, (£ 13.99, during a tail comb and smooth the product through your hair loose, with the comb to model hair in a curve. “

” Finally, use the pointed end of the metal comb tail to refine the shape to get that really defined curl, spraying a spray shine on the front of the hair at the end. ”

This is a great way to add a border to the hair, especially when you are in a hurry, because it’s a style you can create in minutes. We will definitely be giving it a whirl for the next night out (in East London anyway) coupled with a lip compared bare back and skin dewy emulate FKA Twigs in his last Selfie Instagram (#fangirling).
