Yes style mavens – it’s officially time to hit the streets like a fash-savvy pro to check out what our fellow scenesters are wearing ahead of the summer season.

Ready to shop these virtual rails? You heard it here first.
Crayola
For the fearless, wear head-to-toe brights.
‘Power posing just got a colour spectrum kick up the *ahem* well, body part that rhymes with spectrum,’ she says. ‘Block colour your outfit with an electric blue backpack (this season’s hottest shape) and then shut off your Instagram notifications… you’ll be getting an inconvenient amount of ‘likes’ rocking this trend.
Key: Channel Balenciaga: layer your canary yellow dress over a long-sleeved top in the same shade.
Sporty Details
Elevate your sportswear.
‘If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a thousand times, ‘active wear is perfectly acceptable date night attire,” Cassie enthuses.
‘For a night out I’ll add glamour to a simple sporty jacket with a metallic skirt and some peachy Chanel eye-shadow to match my Bellini.’
Key: Whether you rock the new chunky trainer with a summer dress or team your shellsuit jacket with something seriously sexy on the bottom, make sure you dilute heavily.
Checks Please
No longer the reserve of wintery months, they’re making a convincing case for being springs’s ‘it’ print.
Cassie’s style tip? ‘Mix this heritage classic print back with your favourite James Dean-esque white tee, and leather trainers for Spring perfection.’
Key: Think tactile fabrics in bright hues.
Pastel Attack
Delicate sugared almond shades have shaken off their past reputation and turned themselves into a serious fashion statement.
‘I love the playful idea of power dressing in bubblegum pink,’ Cassie says. ‘Channel a Sheryl Sandburg/Turkish Delight lovechild! Why not try a double-breasted jacket and cropped flare? Remember though to always match the best pastel for your skin tone.’
Key: Think pretty and powerful. We herald the return of Lilac – but not how your gran used to wear it.
Fringing
Statement fringing is having a moment. The more-is-more maximalist mood reigns supreme, swished across everything from necklines to bags.
”Swishing’ just booted ‘twerking’ from the winners podium, and I couldn’t be happier!’ Cassie says. ‘The trick is to keep it simple – wear with box fresh sneakers to keep it chic and nonchalant.’
Key: More structured and forward-thinking, no boho vibes here.
