With all the luxury facilities of a high end hotel combined with the warm, cosy feel of a ski village, the brand new Hyatt Centric is a hotel that really does have it all. Facing the phenomenal sun drenched mountains of La Rosiere; waking up here is like waking up in a total dream land.

The Vibe

The hotel is located in La Rosiere, the brilliant Espace San Bernardo that spans both Italy and France – also known as one of the best kept secrets of the French Alps. So if you’re confident enough (unlike me), you can ski right over to Italy one afternoon for a cheeky Italian coffee. So what’s so great about La Rosiere? With crowd free pistes, a long season of heavy snow fall, great restaurants and bars and a family friendly feel, the hotel itself is only a 1 minute ski/ walk away from the Eucherts Express chair lift, so expect no faffing around.

The Rooms

Hyatt Centric is made up of 47 rooms and 22 suites, every single one with a breath taking view of the mountains. I stepped into a two story room with a gorgeous, spacious living area downstairs that had a rustic, cosy feel. The upstairs was the huge bedroom and bathroom area. Continuing the same vibe, the colour palette was all neutral based with luxurious furnishings. It’s safe to say after a day of fun out in the snow there was no better feeling than a long soak in the super-sized bath tub.

Can you hire ski equipment at the resort?

Yes. Whilst La Rosiere has a few ski hire shops, Hyatt Centric actually has it’s very on ski hire shop within the hotel itself. They really have thought of just about everything and brought it right to your door step. Simply pop down from your room in just your socks, pick up ski stuff, and ski straight out of the back door. There’s also a heated locker room where you can store everything at the end of the day to dry before you head out again the next day.

Is there a spa?

Of course, and wow, is it heavenly. Not only can you release some serious muscle tension after a hard day hitting the slopes but there is also a heated indoor swimming pool with full view of the mountains and both indoor and outdoor hot tubs where you can take in that mountain air whilst relaxing. Make sure you allow at least half a day to spend here during your stay, trust me, you’ll need it.

Is The Food Any Good?

Finally, it’s time to eat, drink and discuss the day’s antics, and Hyatt Centrics’ got you sorted. The H40 restaurant offers a half-board facility with a mountain-style buffet each morning and French brasserie-style food in the evening. I strongly recommend you try the mountain specialty, Tartiflette. YUM.

If you fancy something different they have a second restaurant, La Tavola. Inspired by the neighbouring region of Aosta in Italy, you can expect delicious traditional Italian dishes in the surroundings of elegant, contemporary décor.
