Intro Deck:

Trainers are still our footwear obsession. From classic New Balance, Adidas and Nike trainers to sporty high-tops and on-trend print slip-ons, see our favourites here…

Since finding comfort in fashion, we are all sticking with it, meaning that trainers are not going anywhere. Still a major trend on both the catwalk and with all of our favourite street stylers, these comfy flats are only getting better. After over a year in Stan Smiths; we are finally moving on and getting more adventurous with our sneaker styles as this season it’s all about making a statement.

We’re so into a designer trainer right now; and the Gucci’s are leading the way on our wishlist, with Harrods dropping the mother of all styles with the ditsy floral print. They’re quite possibly the most instagrammed trainer of 2017 and we’re dying to jump on the bandwagon since they’re not going anywhere. Dior’s D-Bee sneakers are also having a major moment; the all white slip ons with the memorable black printed bugs.

When it comes to trainers on the runway; this season it was anything but the ordinary. We saw buckles for Marques Almeida, Military crepes at Diesel Black Gold and not to mention a ton of sock trainers from the likes of Fendi and DKNY. Think of the sock boot; but in a flat sportier knitted way. And before you worry that these designer versions are way out of your budget; you can thank Kurt Geiger and ASOS to have the all the cool coloured embellished styles you need. With the shopping holidays on the horizon, there’s also going to be a number of Black Friday trainer deals to score those pricey staples for less.

But we’re of course not forgetting our favourite sports brands and nor have the celebs. Alexa is still rocking her New Balance, which we can’t help but notice she’s upgraded to the new ‘300 cotton denim’ style. Olivia Palermo is still a firm lover of Adidas (as are we!) and whilst the Stan’s will always have a place in our heart we’ve moved on to their new Gazelle Primeknit shoes for a more feminine look.

So whether you’re a heel-loving newcomer, looking for an easy slip-on style you can throw on and go, or you want something to make those all-black looks a little more interesting, here’s our pick of the best trainer styles in the shops right now…

And remember, don’t just chuck them once they get a few stains on them. Find out now how you can keep your trainers clean.
