Victoria Beckham On Bath Time Sing-A-Longs With David and Harper

Are the Beckhams the new Von Trapps? Our Fashion and Celebrity Director, Josh Newis-Smith met Queen Victoria herself to find out.

Stood amongst her autumn/winter 2018 collection for her Victoria Victoria Beckham line the woman so famous she is known by two initials, VB was the epitome of the modern working woman. I don’t think there are many people with more time constraints on them than this iconic figure- juggling a international jet setting brood and equally jet setting business can’t be easy.

But as Instagram stories proved last night she always makes time for the simple things in life, like bath time with Harper Seven. The mother of four posted THE cutest Instagram story of David Beckham and Harper singing along to Tomorrow from the classic musical, Annie.

Are the Beckhams the new Von Trapps I asked VB? Laughing she couldn’t help gush about her youngest child’s newest style obsession, “Harper is obsessed with The Sound of Music. She loves Gretel and she wants to dress like Gretel that I am quite happy about. She loves it! Sometimes we plat her hair and she likes to wind it around her ears. Harper loves a box pleat sensible skirt and a blouse tucked in – I love it too, I am all over it! She’s very prim and proper!” Posh Spice 2.0 in the house, people!

Speaking of all things Posh, I along with the rest of the children from the 90s could barely breathe when VB posted a shot of herself with the four other Spice Girls. There seems like there has never been a better time to bring Girl Power back, but don’t expect to see anything come to fruition any time soon.

Stop right now, thank you very much, Victoria Beckham is not jumping on the Spice Bus any time soon, “there is nothing tangible – it’s not about us going on tour, it’s not about us recording new material, it’s not about us doing a TV show. It’s about us protecting the legacy and how we pass that girl power message on to future generations. Everyone jumped on it and was going, ‘oh you are going on tour,’ but there is no tour. It’s about us five saying this is a positive image and how we can pass it on.” We better put our homemade banners we have been working on away then.

Victoria is still the focused fashion designer and her Autumn/Winter 2018 Victoria Victoria Beckham collection is all about showing off her more playful side, and there is a new slogan tee to covert. PRAISE. BE. Modeled by the woman herself the ‘It’s A Dark But Happy Place’ tee is set to be another bestseller, “VVB is all about having fun and poking fun at myself,” Beckham confirms. ‘People loved ‘Fashion Stole My Smile,” and this one is about me behind my sunglasses!”

The collection isn’t short of coveted items, with paper bag high waisted trousers and co-ords galore Victoria delivers another collection we instantly want in our wardrobes. The clothes themselves also come from seriously happy workplace – how many bosses do you know would take their work force for a jaunt to the local art gallery? “I took the team to the Basquait exhibit and I think you can see that through the prints. It has a bit of a 80s downtown feel about it, which I think is really great. There is some double denim which is kind of ironic!”

My toughest critics! #VBAW18 #NYFW kisses x VB

If you don’t want to dress like Britney and Justin how do you do double denim, Victoria? “Buy it from VVB because it’s the right way to wear double denim!” Ever the personal saleswoman for her brand, Victoria had me sold from her first word. There isn’t a trend you can’t bend like Beckham, after all.

With her Victoria Beckham runway show joining the London Fashion Week schedule in September long may you reign Queen Victoria.
