We’re interrupting your Friyay moment with a slice of solemn pizza related news…

Found on the dining table/floor/sofa of most student houses – this classic Dominoes extra is surprisingly calorific.

It turns out that the Garlic & Herb Big Dip you add to your dominoes order weighs in at a whopping 675 calories. That’s before you’ve even mutter the words ‘Pepperoni Passion.’

I mean, we get that each big pot is intended to feed a family of four but let’s be real… more than one member of the InStyle team have confessed to polishing one off between two (or occasionally between one, naming no names), so there’s that.

To put things into pizza perspective – this little (big) pot contains more calories than two McDonald’s cheeseburgers. I repeat: two. I’ll give you a moment to digest that…

There’s just something about dip that seems so innocent and, to be honest, we pretty mad about the whole thing. I mean, what is a pizza without its mate the Garlic & Herb Dip? They exist together. Plus, how do they even fit 700 calories into 100g? We’re not sure how to feel RN.

To get technical, one 100g pot is actually over one third of a woman’s daily allowance. The thing is, it’s just so good. A pizza crust without dip is like a hangover without pizza. Amirite?

I mean, we all know it’s Netflix & chill & pizza.

Domino’s told The Sun: “Our Garlic & Herb Big Dip is great for sharing with family and friends, and we recommend each party size should serve at least four people. Single size pots are also available at 169 cals each.”

“We’re committed to providing transparent nutritional information on our website and via our app, to enable customers to make informed decisions.”

Understandable, the internet is distraught, and we totally get it. 700 cals in dip? The world’s gone cray.
