Intro Deck:

JW Anderson and Uniqlo are collaborating again, this time with a Brighton Beach-inspired Spring Summer ’18 collection.

If you fell in love with the Uniqlo x J.W Anderson collaboration last September (I don’t think there’s one person on the InStyle team who didn’t buy the oversized checked shopper bag) you’ll be thrilled to hear they’ve gone and done it again for a Spring Summer ’18 collection.

This time the line is inspired by Brighton Beach, celebrating the 1950’s heydays of the the popular summer attraction. Taking inspiration from the vibrant and colourful city, J.W Anderson translates his take on Brighton culture, fusing quality fabrics with fabulous fit and functionality. Expect casual, unisex basics that are perfect for layering – especially if you’re into clashing your prints.

“In the second collection of the collaboration, I’m looking for this idea of ‘British Summer’, the idea of being on Brighton Beach,” said Jonathan Anderson. “Something which is very leightweight, very airy, with a lot of linen and cotton that has a 1950’s subcultural movement. With a little bit of ease and something which is quintessential.”

The first photos of the collab were released just yesterday and we’re already excited for what’s to come. The collection will land in stores and online from 19th April.
